Ballydugan Mill Wedding Videographer in Restored 18th-Century
Linda and Peter’s Ballydugan Mill Wedding Video as the couple booked me for a full day for the ceremony and reception in the Downpatrick venue. Starting with bridal prep in Castlewellan and during the speech, a Westlife Nicky Byrne speech (pre-recorded). PLAY HIGHLIGHTS FILM
The girls were already in Castlewellan, making an early start and were having great fun! I could only stay for a brief time before I went to The Mill Ballydugan wedding, where Peter and his son were already there, so I grabbed some groom preparation video footage in their room in the Mill at Ballydugan.
After filming some interior and exterior with a couple with the drone for a bird's eye perspective, the guests started arriving, and soon afterwards, Linda arrived too. The room was well decorated and had exposed beams, which made the rooms more interesting for the couple's video. The ceremony was conducted by humanist celebrant Stewart Holden and was jolly good fun telling the story of how they met and some family history, too. Afterwards, we made our way close by for the photo shoot and got some behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage.
Everyone was called in, and Linda and Peter arrived to a standing ovation from guests, making for a great entrance and EPIC entrance for their wedding video. The layout was a little different as there was no top table, so the speeches from Linda and Peter commenced and ranged from fun to super fun! Thanks for booking me as your Wedding Videographer.

The Mill at Ballydugan Wedding Videographer
As a Ballydugan Mill Wedding Videographer in Downpatrick, if you like my work, please get in touch as soon as possible. I only take on a limited number of weddings each year and work throughout NI. I enjoyed filming in The Mill for various reasons, including the ceremony and reception.
The bridal preparations were in a village near Newcastle, and the groom's preparations were in The Mill itself. The ceremony was in a room with lovely exposed wooden roof beams which gives your wedding video an extra depth. It wasn’t massive but perfect for the celebrant to conduct the ceremony with plenty on both sides watching. I had a video camera on a tripod filming wide, and I operated another video camera so I could move about getting various angles and reactions as well as filming the celebrant, bride and groom. Microphones were attached to the celebrant and groom for speeches.
Later on in the evening reception for the dancing I set up a video camera to film wide and I also operated a video camera moving around filming different reaction and guests dancing. Contact Philip with more info, thank you.
There was a surprise pre-recorded message on the projector by famous Irish singer Nicky Byrne from the super Irish group Westlife at The Mill wedding as Linda is a massive fan. Some great advice from the big man himself! Mothers Little Helpers was the wedding band, and they didn’t disappoint as the dancing started with the bridal party and other guests joining in afterwards, which was great to see. I filmed this with a two-camera set-up and plenty of audio recorders. Having two cameras filming is essential, and any professional filmmaker should be doing this. The room was on the roof of the building, so you could see more exposed beams, which was great for the video. Hope you have a great future together, Linda and Peter. All the best, and thanks for booking me.
