I run a print business working on so many various printing needs that it’s impossible to list them all, but here are just a few. I pride myself on being cost-effective, offering you the right price, and setting high standards.
Printing Company
I print and design in Belfast, Northern Ireland, for many customers and clients, let’s explain more about my Belfast printing shop later. I use creative design using the latest software applications, Adobe In Design, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator on a Mac (silicon M1 transiting over from intel-based Macs a while ago). I have been using the Adobe software suite in some capacity for over 25 years, even when in design, it was called Pagemaker. You can use a PC, but I find the Mac platform better for pre-press and print. My printing service in Belfast includes a quick pre-press check and audit before printing, even though you need to have artwork ready.

I provide printing services in Belfast City Centre for any commercial print project for any business. All jobs are sent out by courier and I can provide tracking information, but should be sent out the next day. As well as lots of other printing needs too.

Printing Belfast and Portadown
I’m a commercial printer in Portadown, just outside Belfast, serving the town and wider country and specialising in general print throughout NI. A courier delivers most printing, so you don’t need to travel to for collections. I print a broad range of materials, some of which are below as well as in the top navigation under the Print tab.
NCR Invoice Book Printing
NCR invoice book printing can be duplicate (2 copies) or triplicate (3 copies) and personalised to you and your business. NCR invoice books can be A5, A4 or a custom size. Printed single colour, black or even full colour.
Stationery Printing
I also design and print stationery, including letterheads and compliment slips. Letterhead printing is usually A4 and can be short-run or in larger quantities. Compliment slip printing is usually 210 x 99 mm, so they can be fitted into envelopes easily.
Pamphlet Printing
Pamphlets can be any quantity and size you want with various finishes. You can get creative with folding.
Poster Printing
Poster Printing in Belfast and NI are printed from A4 upwards and can be any quantity and custom-designed or printed from your artwork. Printing posters onto quality paper is essential for durability. Posters are affordable, but I would always stay away from cheap ones as they will not be of good quality. Delivered free of charge by courier anywhere in NI. A common size and paper weight is A3, good quality paper and full colour. Posters can be made using inkjet or digital printing.
Supplying Artwork for Printing
If you are supplying your own artwork, here are some basic requirements. If you can’t complete these steps, don’t worry contact me for any help with the creative and finishing process, as this is something I specialise in, so don’t worry.
Resolution: 300 dpi
Format: PDF or JPEG
I can also accept Word documents, but these may need a bit of extra work. Colour: CMYK (which stands for Cyan Magenta Yellow and K is for key plate (black)
Fonts: Outlined or Embedded
Bleed: 3mm, preferably with crop marks
Safe Zone: 6mm from the edge of the page
Text and images should stay within the safe zone unless they are bleeding off the page.

Leaflets
Leaflets are usually A5 but can be smaller A6 flyers, too, elevating your business or event. Leaflet design can include emailed proofs. Depending on the specification, the quantity and weight of paper or card are sometimes not the cheapest. You can go cheap using paper weights lighter than 130 gm gloss, but the paper is far too thin, so we recommend against this as I run a printing service.
Business Cards
The printing of Business Cards in Portadown can be ordered easily by emailing me. They are personalised to your design and are premium quality printing, so sometimes they are not cheap. The common size and weight is 85 x 55 mm, 350 gm silk, 2-sided, matt or gloss laminated or plain un-laminated, and it’s the same price. The gloss lamination makes them very shiny, so it might not be good for corporate use; I’d recommend matte for that. They can also be printed or recycled.

Photo Printing Belfast
I offer a service for Photo Printing in Belfast and Portadown and within driving distance. If located in Belfast, Northern Ireland, your photo prints can easily be posted out. Your images can be emailed with instructions, and I will send you a quote. This is great to get those memories alive instead of just storing your photos online. It would also be great for older people who are not online and might appreciate printed photos more. Printing pictures is a craft in itself!
I can print photos onto Marrutt paper stock, including semi-gloss, matte, and gloss up to 250 gsm and from any size up to A3. I can print larger, too; it just might take a bit of extra time. Contact me at the print shop for more information on your printing.
Why Photos Can Be a Bit Expensive to Print
This is most likely the highest quality of print and paper used for photo prints. A good quality photo printer can be expensive to buy, and good quality paper can also be expensive to purchase; therefore, the total cost is a little expensive. I think my prices are affordable and not expensive.

Basic Printing

Experience in Print
I have worked in several printers, including Eakin Ltd Peninsula Print and Design Ltd in Newtownards, Antrim Printers and Summit Printers in Lisburn. Unfortunately, most of these commercial printers are now closed. I have worked in several printing companies in the city but have never worked in Media Design and Print, in Belfast. I worked in Eakin Ltd (called Graceland Print at the time) many years ago in pre-press. Don’t think there was a lot of graphics work as it was mostly typesetting and typing, lol.
Antrim Printers
While I worked at Antrim Printers I worked as a senior graphic designer within the pre-press office. When I left, I went back a few times to help. I worked on a broad range of printing, from brochures and books to leaflets, in a small team. I am studio-based (appointments only) but can meet you at your location or business address anywhere in NI. Experience
I graduated with a BA Hons Visual Communications at Ulster University and realised fairly quickly I learned nothing practical about the real world, to be honest, the Art College in York Street was dreadful, sorry if I offended you, though, but the truth is the truth. The first year was great, but after that, it just fell apart. Perhaps a year’s placement might have been good, but I doubt it. I also completed the BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design. This was more art-based, with far less practical real-world experience than UU.
