Brochure Printing - Booklets, Books and Design

Brochure Printing in Northern Ireland and Belfast can be any quantity. Booklet printing is similar in terms of specifications, and I offer brochure design. Custom brochures can be printed to your requirements and specifications and can be delivered free of charge by courier or by myself anywhere in NI with tracking details. A brochure's common size and weight is A4 (folded from A3), eight printed pages, saddle stitched, 130gm gloss with a heavy 350gm cover. They can also be square-shaped if you want. You should fill up each page as all eight would be printed, but if you can’t, then blank pages would be inserted into the back of the bound brochures to make up the even number.

Brochure Printing

There are a variety of finishing and folding methods for brochure printing, including but not limited to saddle stitched (which is another name for stapled), perfect bound (for large books) or spiral bound (for cookery books). All serve their purposes, but this can be talked about when pricing for your specifications is good. All brochures are printed and finished to a high standard and sometimes are not cheap depending on specs, including paper, card, lamination and quantity. You can order online simply by emailing me through this website if you like. My brochures and books are affordable, but could you give me a chance to quote for the job? Brochures are great for an event, marketing and promotional purposes. Booklet catalogue printing is another form of brochure printing, but they are most likely to include quite a few more printed pages than the usual brochures.

For me to print brochures, I need to quote first therefore, I need to know

  1. Size - What is the size when folded down?

This can vary, but A4 is the standard; this would be folded down from A3. This can be any size you want, though

  2. Quantity - How many do you need?

  3. Paper - What type of paper is it, and is the cover heavier card than the insides?

For example, the inner pages could be 130 gm gloss or silk, and the cover could be heavier, 250 gm gloss or silk (the cover could also be called the front page)

  4. Delivery - Where do you need to be delivered to?

  5. Pages - How many pages, including the cover, are the brochures?

  6. Finishing - Usually, they are saddle stitched, but is there a different way you want them finished, ie double parallel fold brochure

  7. Design - Do you need design, or have you got artwork ready?

You can print a PDF by emailing me.

Custom brochures can be any size, quantity and sleek finish you need. There are too many variations to mention here, so you are much better off emailing me with specifications through the website.

Prices

  • Less than 100 £250

  • 100 £290

  • 500 £490

  • 1000 £590

Some ideas for professional brochure pricing and costs are above. The specs are A4, eight pages, including a heavy front and back cover. They offer a lasting, solid experience, allowing customers to hold, flip through, and revisit them at their convenience, providing a unique marketing appeal.

Available Brochure Printing Sizes and Binding Options

  1. A5 (210 x 148 mm)

  2. A4 (297 x 210 mm)

  3. A3 (420 x 297 mm)

  4. DL (210 x 99 mm) + lots of other sizes too

Laminated is also an option. Binding options for brochures are stitched (or stapled) and wiro-bound booklet printing (sometimes called wiro-bound). Books have other binding types options as there are often more pages in them; therefore, they need some stronger options. See below.

Paper Stocks

I stock a range of paper stocks and paper finishes, including silk, gloss and uncoated. The most popular paper stock is silk, followed by gloss. Uncoated paper is not used often, but the option is there. This would be like plain paper, so it doesn’t have that extra sheen to it the way silk or gloss has. Common weights for inner pages are 130gm and 170gm, and common weights for covers are 250gm and 350gm.

Brochure Format Ideas

There are lots of formats that can be printed from your print file, which could be a PDF file.

  1. 6pp A4 brochure

  2. Z Fold brochure

  3. Accordion fold brochure

  4. Roll fold brochure

  5. Gatefold brochures

  6. Tri-fold brochure folding

Also called a trifold. Be careful with page order and make sure to print a folded sample first to make sure your panel or page order is in the correct order.

  7. Brochure pocket folders

  8. Die cut brochure

Rather than square cut, these are cut to your requirement.

There are many other unique folded brochures for your format, too; just email me your specifications. Depending on your time scale, quantity needed and how close you need them to your deadline, it’s possible to produce short-run digital brochure printing, but please contact me ASAP with your specs and timeframe. If they are a small run, then the price reflects this. I deliver all over NI and the UK. All deliveries are sent via courier and can be tracked from dispatch to your delivered location. They will be sent out the next day after finishing is completed. You should receive a confirmation email 1-2 days before your package is due for fast delivery. Next-day delivery to you is standard in the province.

The short-run is ideal for smaller quantities, for example, up to 200. Any more than this, the brochures need litho printed. A short run is also great if you are in a bit of a rush. They can be A4 folded from A3 and various pages. The cover is usually printed onto 250gm card paper stocks, and inside 130gm gloss or silk, whichever you prefer. Glossy brochures are quite reflective and can give your print a bit of a shine, whereas a matt laminate can be less so as it’s not as reflective. Contact brochure printing companies like myself with more details, and you can order online by sending me as much information as possible by email.

Why you might need digitally printed Brochures

Digitally printed brochures are still quite good and are fairly close (but not the same quality) to litho-printed brochures.

  1. You need brochures fairly quickly

  2. You need a small quantity

Brochure Design

As well as brochure design throughout the country, I can also offer brochure design in Belfast, as I’m a graphic designer and have been working in graphic design in general for many years (over 20, in fact) with various printing companies in the province. Proofs can be emailed, or hard copies can be supplied. Brochure design can include your logo (this needs to be supplied in EPS or PDF format), text and images (supplied as 300 dpi for good quality print). They can be business and company brochures, folded brochures and are great marketing. Some samples of brochure design are below.

Booklet Printing Services

Book and booklet printing services in Belfast can be printed with a full-colour cover and black ink insides and are printed with a spine, or if there are fewer pages, booklets don’t need a spine and are stitched and stapled. Usually, the max page count is 56 pages for booklets; then, after that, books need to be perfect-bound and finished. You will need to know the spine width, based on how many pages there are and their weight. A common size is A5, but it can be any size you need. Quantities can be short-run and digitally printed up to larger quantities. The sample books below are A5 size with a spine finished to a high standard.

Brochure Binding Options

There are a few binding types with books and booklets. They are stitched (also known as stapled), perfect bound or wiro bound booklet printing. Perfect bound is the most common for books.

Booklet Printing

Saddle stitch booklets for a shop in Lisburn. I print A5 booklets (folded to A5 from A4 when flat), which are 170 gsm silk insides with a heavy 350 gm silk cover and saddle stitched. Most are A4 booklets, but yours doesn’t need to be A4 size, as we have various printing technologies, and it can be any size you want. Saddle-stitched booklets will hold fairly well for repeated opening and closing as we use good, strong staples.

Booklets for a business in Bangor, County Down. Booklets were printed A6 (folded from A5 when flat), 130 gsm gloss insides with a heavier 250 gm gloss cover, full colour and saddle stitched. This is pocket-sized, so it is easy to carry with you.

I provide printing services in Belfast City Centre for any commercial print in any type of business that needs print. A courier delivers all jobs, and I can provide tracking information, but they should be sent out the next day. This includes

  1. Brochures
